Blues    Spout Springs    Tollgate
Nasty crust up on Spout Springs, as would be expected since it has been hanging out all week. So has the inversion fog in Milton-Freewater area, which created perilous black ice from about 4000' and below. It is very sketchy going from above freezing over the pass and mostly dry roads, to plummeting into a death trap of dreariness in what some from our valley think of as a tropical destination during winter. I saw 4 trashed vehicles by the end of the day. Early in the morning, it was actually raining a bit on the Elgin side of the pass.

Meanwhile, up high it was warm with a light wind, and it is looking like the last days of spring at Spout Springs. The spring is flowing out nicely if anyone wants to grab some water. I laid down a skin track that no one will want to take advantage of up to the top. It was nice to cruise around with no clothes on get a few laps in without concern of anyone poaching my ski lines. The video will show the rest.
