This spring picked up where last spring left off, diminishing snowpack with snowbiking in the morning and gravel biking in the afternoon, both excellent riding. The balmy spring weather has opened up the stream and softened the top of the snowpack to make some creamy riding. The snow was a bit thin and crusty out on the Coyote Ridge Trailhead area but otherwise it was good coverage and the trails were well groomed. The snowmobile traffic has left endless trackage over the entire Tollgate area, but we did manage to find a few nice spots to play around. Then, back at the snopark everyone kept pull in and asking us what the conditions were like, saying they'll check it out tomorrow. The good news is that the ice layer has been trounced by the wind and warmth. It was snowing pretty good in the morning around Andies Prairie and Spout Springs but it was more like rain around Tollgate, but it quit about mid morning.

Then, back to the valley for some fantastic gravel riding where I even managed to make it up and over Pumpkin Ridge without studs on my cross bike. Spring is awesome! I'm already looking forward to winter though.
