New Electronic Timing System for XTERRA La Grande 2012

Thanks to a collaborative effort with Eastern Oregon University and the Mountie Cross Country Team, a new race timing system will be employed at XTERRA La Grande for 2012. Students of EOU's Physical Activity & Health major will contribute to administering the race and timing system.

The IPICO Sports system to be used will help the administration of the race meet the current standards that participants enjoy at other triathlons around the world. The system employs reader mats that are activated by tags that each participant wears for accurate recording of their respective splits and finish times. The system will help ensure quick and accurate results for the 2012 edition of the race. The race organizers of La Grande Ride, Inc. also plan to implement live results and updates at LaGrandeRide.com .
